How To Connect A Ledger Device

Step 1: Install the Namada App on Your Ledger Device

  • Open Ledger Live: Launch the Ledger Live application on your computer.
  • Access "My Ledger": Click on the My Ledger icon located in the bottom-left corner of the Ledger Live window.
  • Connect Your Ledger Device: Plug in your Ledger device and unlock it by entering your PIN.
  • Install the Namada App: In the App Catalog, use the search bar to find "Namada."Click the Install button to install the Namada application on your Ledger.

🎉 Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed the Namada app on your Ledger device.

Step 2: Connect Your Ledger to the Namada Keychain Extension

  • Open the Namada Keychain Extension: In your browser, open the Namada Keychain extension you’ve already installed. If you haven’t installed it yet, visit https://namada.net/keychain to download it, or refer to our How To Install The Namada Keychain Extention tutorial for guidance.
  • Click on "Connect Hardware Wallet": Select the option to Connect Hardware Wallet from the extension home screen.
  • Connect and Unlock Your Ledger Device:

- Connect your Ledger to your computer and unlock it.


- Open the Namada app on your Ledger device.

  • Approve the Review: When prompted, approve the connection review on your Ledger device.

Step 3: Set Up Your Wallet

  • Choose a Wallet Name and Set a Password: Enter a name for your wallet and create a secure password. Then click Next.

🎉 Congratulations! You’ve successfully connected your Ledger to the Namada Keychain.Click Finish Setup to complete the process and return to the Keychain Extension home screen.

Your Ledger device is now securely connected to the Namada Keychain extension. You can start managing your assets and performing transactions with the added security of your hardware wallet.
